" There are so many low-quality products out there, but there is a huge up scale market that is relatively under-served." Expanding Product Line DownTown's product line includes a full range of down comforters and down bed pillow, all made and filled in Hungary with pure white goose down. The high thread count ticking is made in Austria. The company also imports decorative bedding from several companies in Portugal; and recently added sumptuous woven bath towels from Brazil. Another new development is an acrylic and cotton blanket that was rated a best buy by Consumer Digest. DownTown is also experimenting with new materials- for example, the company introduced a new down quilt with Lyocell tick. " The Lyocell has an absolute beautiful hand" jacobs remarks. " It feels like silk Charmeuse, but performs better. It is an environmentally friendly cellulose fiber, and the processes used in creating it are all natural and 100 percent non-toxic. Any by-products have a secondary use or are completely biodegradable. " the finished product brings glamour and comfort to the bedroom, but is completely washable, easy care and non-iron," she continues." The only thing that could make this fabric any better is its environmentally-conscious quality."
